SSL and newly added domain

Hello, I just added a new domain name to my wpmudev hosted site, https://codebluecpr.wpmudev.host. I added CNAME records to the DNS server at Enom Central, and it does redirect correctly, so now I am ready to change the settings for the site so that it knows to use the new domain, codeblueaugusta.com.

I don’t want to get in a lockout situation, and I haven’t see where to manage the SSL certs, so I’m not sure how to proceed… is the site ready to just change the homepage url in WordPress settings?

Please let me know.

Thanks!

    Hi Coastal Data,

Hope you are doing good today.

Just setting the domain added via the Managed Hosting settings under the "Domains" tab, as primary should be enough to make sure the website loads with the new domain, the changes made should automatically change the Site URL, and Home URL in the WordPress dashboard, under Settings > General to the new domain URL.

SSL certificates should get created automatically once the DNS is propagated, you can click the "Check DNS Status" link as seen in the screenshot to make sure the the DNS status is re-checked, so that the SSL certificate would get created automatically once done.
