sundomain is not working on hostgator addon domain

Hello there,

I have big problem on my wpmu multisites. subdomain is recognizable but keep showing 404 error. A guy from hostgator keep saying that I should edit Mod_rewrite on .htaccess but I have no idea how to fix it properly. Can you help?
