[The Hub Client] Hub Client Ticketing System Form Field (Forminator)

0

I have seen a few people asking for a ticketing system for THC. I thought it would be an interesting idea to add a form field to Forminator to allow people submit a ticket on your sites support page and have this ticket be populated on a list in the wpmudev hub… Then add a filter to the site manager for > client sites/incomplete tasks/in-progress tasks. Allow options for marking a task as (in-progress or complete) or decline out-of-scope tasks(with refund on decline?). Tasks marked complete will send an email verifying completion with the ability to attach images or other files.

This will create a unique way for people to handle support or even charge for development tasks using Forminator and its e-sign/billing options.

The features above in combination with a (non-live) messaging system between regular Hub and THC would be great additions, if at all possible.

Hey Dylan B. it won’t surprise you that we’ve had quite a few conversations around this

Basically we have three possible options for when it comes to supporting your clients through THC.

    1. Third party integrations (we’ve just released hubspot chat integration, and a bunch of other third party integrations should come soon)

    2. Working up a solution based on an existing support ticket environment / forminator style workaround – this isn’t that great, if we are offering it as a service we want to do it just right *having said that* you should soon-ish have user syncing between your WP users and your WPMUD EV users that will allow you to use Forminator as your own support ticket system if you wish (or anything else in WP land)

    3. Building our own elegant / integrated support ticket system (with live chat?) that integrates into The Hub… absolutely! But let’s get billing and hosting automation sorted first

Hopefully, in the interim, 1 and then 2 (you can do that now too, just create a user on wp.org that is recognisably your client) should take care of all your needs!

    Hope that helps
