[The Hub Client] Set a user role for new sites

Hi guys,

I have been asked by Patrick Freitas to put this as a new support ticket.

Is it possible that when a user creates a site that they can be added by default as an editor instead of an admin? The admin would be my (own) account but the user details sent to the user who just signed up is for an editor role. Is this possible?

    I hope you are doing well.

    Thank you for adding this as a new ticket, as I explained on the other ticket it is not possible at this moment, we do have plans to allow users to create custom templates that can be used on the website deployment, it would be a workaround.

    But we can send this ticket to our developers as a feature request, just to make sure we get the correct flow, those users are added on your HUB as a team using the Users & Roles?

      For this example, let’s assume that the site creation automation has already been setup.
      User will be a new user that is signing up for the hosting. The site is created and they (the user who signed up) is automatically added as an editor and these credentials are sent to them. When they log in, their role in WordPress has been assigned as an editor.

    Just to make sure I understood your suggestion clearly, let me rephrase it.

    You have some users added to your hub. And those users can create hosting under your hub. So you want that, when they create a site, your account email address will be the admin user for that site, and your hub user email will be used as an editor user in the website, right?

    Please correct me if I’m wrong. Also, I’m forwarding this suggestion to our team. They will surely discuss this.

      You have some users added to your hub. And those users can create hosting under your hub. So you want that, when they create a site, your account email address will be the admin user for that site, and your hub user email will be used as an editor user in the website, right?

      That is correct except only that the users will not be connected to the hub yet. By setting up their sites they will be added as a user to the hub.

      I understand at the moment this all needs to be done manually so my question is more of “down the line”question.
