[The Hub] Update/Overwrite Configs with new settings

1

This may be a simple one, but I wish there was a way to update configs globally. Sometimes I tweak settings as new ones are released or to better optimize my sites, and then I have to delete + recreate a config, then reapply it to all of my sites to enact the changes. It would be great if you could just overwrite an existing config, and have the settings automatically be applied to all related sites set under that config too.

Furthermore, it would be nice to add a dashboard label of some kind to indicate which config (if any) have been added to a site within the Hub, so you can easily see if the correct settings are applied or not.

Lastly, when using the quick setup for a newly added site, a lot of times some of the plugins are greyed out so I’m unable to set a config for them until I finish settings up the others, then go back to the dashboard. On this screen, it would be nice to show if those plugins already have a config set, and allow you to change it if so.

Thanks!

    Hi John ,

Thanks for your feedback. I do see such a feature would be helpful and I’ll make sure to bring your request to our Hub team’s attention so that we could check what further improvements that could be implemented down the roadmap regarding such a workflow.

Possible to mention on which site you noticed and also mentioned which settings are greyed out, so that we could have a better idea? A screenshot would also be helpful.

    Best Regards,

Thanks for the feedback here. An example site is below:

    voteyes.tempurl.host

[attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

Some of the services are greyed out so i cannot modify them. They were active by default I believe, but I have to go back to the main dashboard and re-apply a config in order to ensure these are set correctly

    Hi John ,

Thanks for pointing it out. I could notice inconsistencies regarding its workflow and checking with our teams to see what should be the expected behaviour in such use cases and see what further enhancements that could be considered to improve the workflow.

Will keep you posted once we get further feedback asap.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin
