Themes / Plugins doesnt update

Hi,

Some themes or plugins don't update inside my wp multisite.

When I'm in subsite shows a notification saying I have some updates but when I press and goes to the update page, there doesn't show any update.

There's anything I can do?

    I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue.

    For a deeper check could you please grant temporary support access via WPMUDEV Dashboard plugin? just navigate in WP admin area under WPMU DEV -> Support -> Support Access page and click on the “grant support access” button.     Please do reply back here when access is granted because we don’t get any notifications about it.

    Hi ferreirex,

    Apologies for the delay on your ticket, I have subscribed now so I will receive notifications of your responses and make sure there are no more delays like this.

    I had a look at your site and I do see 2 updates available in the main site but I wasn’t able to check the Marias subsite at first as it asked me for login details so I had to create a temp super-admin to login in check.

    However, when I checked the subsite I didn’t see any update notifications there, so I would like to ask for some additional information.

    Does this issue happen to you only with a specific account or any admin account that you try?

    Also, the issue is shown for super-admin account, is that correct? Or you’re seeing it only with subsite-admin account?

    Could you grab a screenshot of two of what exactly you’re seeing and how it behaves for you so we can get a better understanding of this?

    Thanks for the additional information.

    I can see the issue now so I had a look at the theme and I think that the issue here is that the theme provides custom update method (as it’s a premium theme) and my thought is that their updater is not compatible with network installations.

    If you go to Themes panel on your subsite you will see a notification in there that theme update is available but the update link does nothing if you click on it.

    You can, of course, update the theme via FTP but I don’t see that as a long term solution and would suggest getting in touch with the theme developers and ask them if the theme updates are developed to work on multisite installations as well.
