This plugin has me at wits end; it works sometimes but not very consistently, in fact mainly not working. Therefore I cannot for the life of me figure this out as the "brokenness" seems to be a changing factor. Today two posts were entered at the buddy-press activity feed, the simple few worded test never showed on FB and yes share to FB was ticked but the next try, a single image showed up on FB with extra unnecessary markers. This nonprofit site is for a very good cause, and has 3K members on FB, and without dual posting the switch over to a website is nearly useless in making transitions.
I opened permissions for support to look at this.
I have tried all suggested alternatives, plugin conflicts seem unlikely because removal did not change anything, but I wonder if Jetpack having maybe a residual effect may conflict, but it was on for the last test.
The form, support and video tutorial seem to contradict; the FB settings for API are no longer the same… is there some final up to date article…some support indicated there were problems, while others just carry on as if there are no problems, older others mentioned SSL as requirement, FB review, and the list goes on. Is anyone getting this to work consistently?? Should I scrape efforts and try something different?? Is there a better way or will this somehow with a secret handshake get fixed? Open to anything even as radical as a total site overhaul.
FB suggestions do not appear to lead anywhere, am I missing something I do not know about? PS. I am not a big fan of forms and usually just work through things myself but at a dead end here. I have waited about a week for follow up on a previous question that has gone unaddressed. In the mean time I have tried everything and more, thrice over. The problem has evolved but remains unsolved. I read the "good support ticket' article, honestly I don't if this is bumping or not, looked up term and it really is unclear, your page should be more clear for those who are not forum groupies. If I have offended someone please overlook this, and forgive me, I have had no answer and it badly needs a resolution. I will do anything to get this fixed, help would be eternally appreciated!
