Uptime showing site down since 58 days

My website http://www.ele****ing.com is showing down since 58d 10h 38m at the time of writing this ticket. I see the following error in The HUB (Error: write EPROTO 139702270781248:error:14077410:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:sslv3 alert handshake failure:../deps/openssl/openssl/ssl/s23_clnt.c:802:slight_smile:.

Please suggest a solution to this.

    Hello there Erica

This is happening because your server is using an old version of CURL that only supports SSL3 but SSL3 is insecure now and most sites/services don’t allow a connection on that. We have blocked it too on our servers for security purposes. So please contact your host about updating cURL and possibly OpenSSL to the latest version will be the best option. That will make your server updated and also make the connection secure to any servers from your server.

Another workaround that you could propose to your provider is this one:

In any case, this is a server-SSL related issue, so working along with your hosting provider should be enough to resolve that. If you’re hitting limitations about it, you may have to consider moving to another host.

    Warm regards,

    Dimitris
