What about developing a drop-ship plugin?

0

Hey there Dev’s- I would love to see a “drop-ship” plugin come through one of these days.In addition to having a network of shops on my site developed and maintained by the individual user (via pay to blog or supporter), it would be rad to have a plugin that allows the super admin to list and sell product on the behalf of a company that let’s say doesn’t have time to maintain another online presence. The order would still be fulfilled by the original supplier, but we (super admin) would collect a higher percentage of the transaction b/c we listed, promoted, and sold the item on their behalf. What are your thoughts?

yes, it could definitely be done manually (timothy was an amazing help for me regarding this). I just wanted to suggest the plugin so it could be streamlined….of course, I know very little in this arena and doing it manually is probably already streamlined :disappointed:. I am just not sure how to connect the dots…. I have the code to do it (non-supporter gateway)….it’s just that I don’t know how it will work. Will it automatically charge the non-supporter the % I select? How is it all set up? If I list a product for a company and it sells, how does paypal know to charge the company xx% automatically then transmit the order info to the company to fulfill the order?

    Hiya tutuology,

I believe we’ve got this one covered elsewhere, and yup, that Tim is one cool cat!

Let us know if you have any questions regarding the Domain Mapping plugin and we’ll tackle it the best we can!

    Cheers!
