Who Sees Ads Support Needed

I am running the “Who Sees Ads” plugin to allow me to serve adsense code without my members seeing it. However, when you click the theme preview, it shows a big ol’ green box that says “Ad Placeholder Google Adsense ad disabled (on preview) by Who Sees Ads. Regular visitors will see real Google Adsense ads.”

How can I get rid of this? I don’t really want my members knowing that I am serving adsense blocks on their search engine traffic. I need this to be invisible to my users.

thanks

My guess is you’ll have to delete (or comment) the code for it in the WSA-file (wp_ozh_whoseesads.php), mine has it commented out by default though (couldn’t find it in the other 2 files)..

I’m curious on why you don’t want your members to know you serve visitors ads. Personally I don’t find that very user-friendly (and don’t see the point in not telling).

    Not really.

It’s not to hide it from them, it’s to select users who do and don’t see ads, since most users who are regular visitors don’t click on ads anyway.

It’s not for “hiding” them from users without their knowledge, so that they never know they’re there. In fact, at some point, they’ll find out one way or another.

Since WSA isn’t a Premium Plugin, just integrated with the themes for convenience, you may be able to better find information at the actual author’s site.

It could, yes. Provided you aren’t upfront with it.

At some point, someone will find out about it and raise hell over it. Then again, even if you are upfront about it, someone will miss is and raise hell anyway.

Funny how “users” want to get everything handed to them, and expect you to not make enough to provide the service. lol

Agreed. Read through the comments in this post if they’ve not been censored out:

Since you’re have less folks viewing the adverts who won’t be clicking on them anyway, it will probably give you some better percentages as well.
