WordPress Privacy

When I set the site privacy to

"Visitors must have a login – anyone that is a registered user of Scholastic Sites can gain access. "

It works the way its supposed to,

but the sites dont show up under all sites page, whats the best way to approach this, I want only logged in users to be able to access any site. but the logged in users should be able to see all the other sites under the sites page and be able to search for them as well.

    Hello TempleMIS ,

Can you give me more information? Are you using some plugins for that?

but the sites dont show up under all sites page, whats the best way to approach this, I want only logged in users to be able to access any site. but the logged in users should be able to see all the other sites under the sites page and be able to search for them as well.

Do you mean all the users that have access to multisite, doesn’t matter to which blog? Because setting “Visitors must have a login – anyone that is a registered user of Scholastic Sites can gain access. ” limits users that are only registered on this one, particular subsite. No one else can have access.

    kind regards,

    Kasia

I am not sure if this was through a plugin maybe the okta plugin gave me the options.

But, when its set to “Visitors must have a login – anyone that is a registered user of Scholastic Sites can gain access. ” It works right in terms of visibility, all logged in users can see all the site and if not logged in you cannot see anything. But when i visit the /sites page where it shows all the site, it will not show the logged in users any of the other sites and you can not search through them.

    Hi TempleMIS

    How are you today?

But when i visit the /sites page where it shows all the site, it will not show the logged in users any of the other sites and you can not search through them.

Is it the default /wp-admin/wp-sites that you are using, or a custom page on the frontend?

Also, this member has access to all subsites if the plugin is disabled?

On the WordPress multisite the User will only see the sites that he has access. You would need to use a plugin to sync the users on all subsites, for example, using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-multisite-user-sync/.

Note: Make tests on a staging environment or make sure it has a full backup before.

    Best Regards,
