Would the DNS for Domain hosted on Godaddy to be pointed to a subsite be the same as main site DNS?

trying to wrap brain around how to get domain name hosted on godaddy to point to subsites of my multisite setup.

I have may main site Domain setup and I understand how to setup domain mapping in the subsite’s dashboard, but what do I put in the nameserver field for the goddady hosted Domain I want to point to that site? Thanks

@PCactive another user on godaddy a few days ago had issues with this… godaddy would not allow them to add wildcard subdomains the way they needed to.

This will depend on how exactly you’ve setup everything…

Is your WordPress site on public_html, or are you using a folder for your site?

If your WordPress installation is located on public_html (not a subfolder of it) then you would have to add the domain you want to map as “parked” domain.

If your WordPress installation is located on a subfolder of public_html then you will have to add an “addon” domain and point it to the folder where WP is already installed.

    I hope that helps!

    Cheers,

    Ari.

    I posted it above:

On your cPanel you will have to do the following:

If your WordPress installation is located on public_html (not a subfolder of it) then you would have to add the domain you want to map as “parked” domain.

If your WordPress installation is located on a subfolder of public_html then you will have to add an “addon” domain and point it to the folder where WP is already installed.

    Have you tried that?

    Cheers,

    Ari.
