[WPMU Dashboard] Uptime is giving an incorrect result.

My staging website https://staging-p*******8pv2.ki**sta.**8oud/ is down while uptime shows its up.

    Hi Matthew,

    I was doing some tests on my end and it looks like this issue is specific to something on your installation and how the error is shown.

    Uptime is checking page headers and if they return status 200 (OK) it will report site as up, and your site indeed reports like that if you check the network tab during page load, see Network 1 screenshot below.

    If I force Fatal error on my site and check the network tab it will show 500 error and report it properly in Uptime as well, see Network 2 screenshot below.

    Basically, the problem here is that your site is acting as up since the header loads but once it comes to loading actual content it will show a fatal error.
    If you check your site with other uptime tools like https://www.uptrends.com/tools/uptime and https://www.whatsmydns.net/ they will also report the site as being up and running.

    I will bring this to our devs attention as well so they can check if there’s anything that could be done to do further checks in such cases as yours.
