WPMU Dev Dashboard as a plugin?

Hi Aaron, nice work on the WPMU Dev Dashboard plugin. I was wondering if there are any plans to release this as a plugin for WPMU members?

I can see it as being a great addition to membership sites, where members can visit 1 location to get support (added from a support plugin), install themes (available themes on the multisite), activate plugins (available themes on the multisite).

    Hiya Andrew,

    At the moment we don’t have anything quite as cool as the Dashboard plugin (thanks for the compliments on that one), but we do have a support system plugin that allows you to provide support ticketing and FAQs in the dashboard.

    Yeah, I’m just not quite catching how this would be useful? Individual sites in a multisite environment can’t install plugins or themes.

    If you wanted to offer specific plugins/themes to your sub-sites you should checkout Pro Sites. That’ll allow you to create separate levels for sites and offer specific plugins/themes to each.

    If you’re thinking of completely separate installs on which you could provide your own repository of plugins/themes, there are articles on ways to do this, but that’s not what this plugin does.

    Cool ideas for sure though :slight_smile:
