[WPMU DEV Dashboard] Global insights accross all sites

2

It would be cool to have global insights tracked in the Hub across all sites – such as analytics/traffic, security (hacks prevented/blocked etc), active clients using the Hub etc

    Hi John

I hope you are doing well.

To make sure we are on the same page, are you looking to have those global insights on the HUB level, or define them on HUB and show them in the WordPress dashboard for all sites?

Are they custom or just widgets that you are looking to have that have graphs about all sites, could you share a user case scenario?

    Best Regards

      Hi Julian

So something like another tab, let’s say “insights”, where there’d be some “aggregated” charts and data – something like for example entire “Analytics” panel of WooCommerce does for online store, right?

I mean, of course, not the same information because that wouldn’t be relevant but just the “general idea” of the “dashboard” ;)

      Best regards,
      Adam

Patrick Freitas Julian Adam Czajczyk Hello again – yes, that’s correct!

A global page in the Hub for aggregated data across all sites. Some examples

    – Traffic trends (up, down, average # of visitors accross all sites etc nerd stuff)
    – Security – attacks blocked, bots prevented etc
    – Reseller trends – there are already some of these within clients & billing, but interactions with products, data/insights about any dropoffs in the purchase process etc could be useful too

For comparison, coming from ManageWP they did a similar thing within their main “dashboard” view – which was an additional top level view of all sits that have you global insights and control over a variety of things, before digging down into the sites list.

This global top-level control panel of sorts would be an amazing additon here to the Hub

For sure – A big benefit of this is being able to see at a glance if there are any sites that need critical attention (downtime, security etc) and to be able to one-click optimize, update, and change global settings for all such sites as notifications, update schedules etc – a true master control panel would make the Hub unbeatable
