WPMU DEV Dashboard – would prefer better installation options

By default, if I install a plugin, it auto-activates for me. I don’t want that.

But if I disable it via wp-admin’s Plugins menu, then I go to WPMU DEV Dashboard, I see it’s installed but not active. I think you should add an “activate” button/link here: http://screencast.com/t/YRSMMlVXTwO

    Hiya,

    The auto-activate thing only happens on single-site installations. The thought is that for most folks on a single-site they probably only have active the plugins that they actually want to use.

    On multi-site this doesn’t happen and if we added an activate feature it’d have to also include a “network activate” for multisite installs.

    At the moment, you can turn off the auto-activate on single sites by adding the following to your wp-config file:

    define(‘WPMUDEV_NO_AUTOACTIVATE’, true);
