[wpmudev website] Compatability icons not visible on website

Hey guys,

I think there may be an issue on your product pages when viewed using Firefox 57.04. When scrolling down to the compatibility section just before the “Detail” and “Usage” sections, the icons do not display.

If I scroll over the whitespace, the tooltip shows but the icon is missing.

Perhaps you can take a look into it?

    Hi Baldafrican,

    I’m so sorry to hear this. I just checked this on my computer and icons are showing fine in Firefox 57.0.4 and 58.0.1. I’ve asked my colleagues to check this and those icons are also showing fine for them. So I think, this is your browser specific issue.

    Can you please try clearing the cache and cookies of your browser and check if that resolves this issue? Can you also try from Firefox in another computer and check if this happens there also?

    Hey Mike,

    I noticed something strange on my end, when check the Firefox on MacBook screen it shows fine, but when I move it to external monitor, which is not retina, the images get pixelated, looks like FF doesn’t like SVG format for some reason.

    However, even though they look bad they are still there.

    Can you tell me which OS you are using and what’s the screen resolution?

    Hello Baldafrican,

    I just check on my end with a 1340-something x 768px laptop screen and a 19-inch simple external monitor and I can see these icons when using Firefox Quantum 58.0.1 (64bit) on Win 10 Pro. But yes, they are totally pixelated and don’t look good. I didn’t notice that before because I’m usually visiting these pages on Chrome.

    So, there’s something wrong there definitely but we still don’t quite know if it’s actually FF fault or ours :slight_smile: It also seems to be somehow related to the resolution so please let us know when you find out about your resolution.

    Ok my resolution is set to 1920×1080 and have also upgraded Firefox to 58.01 (64bit) on Win 10 Home, but still no joy.

    In the meantime I have also checked it on Microsoft Edge and they do not display on there either. However if I hover over the area, just like in FF, the tooltip displays but not the icon.

    They do display on Chrome without an issue (albeit a slight pixelation but not nearly as bad as on my mac) though.

    Anything else you want me to check?

    Thanks for the additional info, but I’m afraid that we still can’t replicate this, only thing we see is pixelated icons which is already reported to our devs.

    Can you tell me if you have any extensions in Edge and FF?

    What happens if you try with incognito mode?

    Also, could start a console in FF (Ctrl+Shift+J) and see if it shows any errors that might tell us what’s going on?

    If it is something related to my browser and nobody else is experiencing it then there is no need to worry about it. I just thought to bring it to your attention in case it was happening to many. :slight_smile:

    Hi Mike,

    This thread is in Features & Feedback section that currently doesn’t have option to mark tickets as resolved and that’s why you’re not seeing the button.

    If you check your other threads that are in support section you should see that the button is still there.
